Medical weight loss is a nonsurgical, provider-supervised approach that helps you understand your body and address barriers to weight loss. It treats issues such as obesity and excess weight as medical concerns that require clinical help.

Is medical weight loss right for me?

Medical weight loss may be right for you if past weight loss efforts have not helped you reach or maintain your goals. Treating the issue as a medical problem can help you move beyond diets toward evidence-based strategies.

No program ensures specific results, but ongoing support from a provider can be helpful if your weight may be a medical concern and you need added support.

What happens at a medical weight loss consultation?

At Synergy Wellness, your Synergy Weight Loss Blueprint consultation starts with a weight loss specialist and a medical-grade body composition scan to evaluate your muscle mass, metabolism and more. We have a conversation about your goals and needs and offer a B12 boost. We then build a custom plan around your metabolism, body composition, lifestyle and goals, so you have clear next steps you can implement right away. There is no obligation of any kind, but we can help you turn that plan into action.

How are weight loss plans personalized?

We start by creating a plan for your body instead of asking you to force yourself into a preset program. People who turn to Synergy Wellness for medical weight loss support have different needs and goals, and we meet them by creating customized plans backed by clinical data.

There are no contracts and no need to sign up for anything with Synergy Wellness, which gives you the freedom to adjust your approach as needed.

Are GLP-1 medications part of medical weight loss?

GLP-1 medications can be part of the program, but they are not what we start with. We begin by creating a plan tailored to your body and eligibility.

We may use meal replacement products to support good nutrition while maintaining a low-calorie intake. We support you in making lifestyle changes. Depending on your needs, we may also use medications such as GLP-1, tirzepatide or other prescriptions to help curb hunger.

How is progress monitored?

Weekly and monthly check-ins give your provider a chance to review your progress and track measurements such as weight and muscle mass. We can adjust your plan as needed.

Can medical weight loss include lifestyle support?

Yes, a good medical weight loss program that promotes long-term body mass index (BMI) stability should help you make food and activity choices that support your wellness. The goal is not to hand you a prescription and send you on your way. At Synergy Wellness, we explain research-backed science in clear, accessible language, and we can provide practical advice about activity, nutrition and lifestyle.
