Bio-identical hormone replacement at Synergy
DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone) is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands and a precursor of estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. For many years it was believed that DHEA had no particular beneficial effects other than being a building block for the sex hormones until recently, when researches discovered that DHEA slowly declines as we age. It was believed that DHEA would be a good marker of aging itself. Since then several studies have shown the beneficial effects of DHEA on decreasing the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer and increasing our overall well-being.
Watch Elizabeth and Gene telling their story about life before hormone replacement and how everything changed after starting bio-identical hormones at Synergy Wellness Center.
Most of the beneficial effects from DHEA arise from it’s ability to stimulate the protein production within the cells resulting in cell repair and cell regeneration as well as an improvement in immune function.
